Supplier Quality Engineer

Reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, the Supplier Quality Engineer’s core activity is maintaining the quality of materials at the standards required by the company.

What a typical day looks like:

• You will check the quality of materials in accordance with engineers / customers representations, Purchase Orders (terms and conditions) and contracts, in order to ensure that the requirements are met in terms of reliability, quality and control;
• You will work with suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans;
• Facilitate the materials acquisition process, by ensuring that the supplier understands the requirements;
• You will perform methods of assessing the supplier quality system to ensure materials compliance, and request corrective actions if necessary;
• You will implement process improvements with suppliers and provide instructions for improvements, problem solving techniques;
• You will develop plans for IQA inspection by defining inspection criteria, equipment used, techniques applied for samples, SQA;
• Collaborate with customers and engineers to introduce a new product; You will coordinate the qualification process for new components and/or materials (FAI-first article inspection);
• You will solve quality problems related to the material coming from suppliers, provide technical verification for the materials, use statistical methods to analyze data, communicate the data to the supplier and ensure the execution of corrective and preventive actions;
• You will monitor the progress of corrective actions implemented and ensure that problems are properly addressed, in order to avoid recurrence.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree – technical studies;
• Minimum working experience in Supplier Quality Assurance, Automotive or Medical area – is a plus;
• Knowledge and experience in working with 8D report, PFMEA, PPAP, Control Plan, SPC etc;
• Fluent English skills (written / spoken);
• Excellent communication and presentation skills ;
• Ability to work independently;
• Excellent organizational skills, being able to prioritize activities;
• High capacity to solve problems;
• High technical and analytical skills, ability to quickly assimilate information and draw conclusions.
