Reporting to the NPI Manager, the NPI Process Engineer’s involves process development and validation related to the introduction of new products and processes within the company.
What a typical day looks like:
- You will ensure the building of prototypes and/or the transfer of new products for manufacturing in Flex Romania - products coming directly from clients;
- Participate in the beginning phases of production processes defining, testing and the creation of SDV;
- Based on the customer's specific requirements, you will make cost estimates and time schedules on different stages of the prototype building, PVT and launch into production;
- You will lead and support project implementation of introducing new products (NPI) ensuring the high quality of the projects on which working;
- Collaborate with product and quality engineer for the implementation of NPI processes; Interact with customers and suppliers for the implementation of NPI processes;
- You will contribute to, maintain and fit into the plan for the introduction of new products (NPI Project Plan); Create manufacturing programs related to production equipment and specific processes and integrate them into production system;
- You will create, organize and keep up-to-date the documentation of manufacturing processes in the hard and soft version, during the introduction of new products;
- You will create work instructions and instruct operators/technicians; Analyze problems (including returns), offer explanations for these and establish corrective actions.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree (IT, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, Mechanics);
- Basic experience in the Electronics industry;
- Advanced English language (Written, Spoken, Reading);
- Excellent knowledge of electronic products manufacturing process (screen printing, component placement, polymerization, refusion, conformal coating, assembly, test, product quality inspection etc.);
- Experience in coordinating projects/ product development abilities/ skills and knowledge to create manufacturing documentation;
- Good computer skills: MS Office and programming;
- Excellent communication and leadership-guidance skills;
- Good organizational skills and problem solving;
- Negotiation skills with clients, collaborators and suppliers.
