What you will learn and contribute to

As a Trainee in Cybersecurity operations, you will have to perform simple actions in security operations, relating to security events detection and association, vulnerability management and security compliance status of the customer’s network. You will understand how Telecom Security Management is being addressed, and how Nokia can help its customers strengthen their network security in current continuously evolving technologies which bring more speed, versatility, and connectivity but also an increased risk of cybersecurity attacks and intrusion actions which can lead to serious service outages or financial loss for both companies and individuals.

 

You will:

  • Be involved mainly in Operational Security Incident and Alert/Event Management (L1) to ensure our customers’ networks are optimized and running at agreed security targets
  • Ensure the network security performance analysis is carried out and triggers the resolution under senior engineers’ guidance and supervision.
  • Assist senior engineers when defining events/alerts within the SIEM tool as per customer requirements
  • Monitor SIEM components & infrastructure and create incidents to support the needed call for action
  • Commission preventive maintenance activities needed to keep customer networks running at optimal security levels
  • Update and manage the security knowledge base.
  • Provide prompt and appropriate follow-up with regular feedback to customers about ongoing issues/requests.
  • understand how collaboration with other departments, customer or external vendors are conducted
  • Engage in requesting implementation of standard configuration in the customers’ pre-production/production environment

 

Your skills and experience

 

Mandatory:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor/Master’s university degree in telecommunication, computer science, informatics or any related field 
  • Basic Security and Network knowledge
  • Fluent communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Nice to have:

  • Experience within any Security/IP fields
  • Knowledge of CVSS scoring and CIS benchmarks
